My research interests center on the psychology of intergroup relations and attitudes toward group-based (e.g., race, gender, sexual orientation) inequality. To this end, I’ve conducted field, online, and laboratory studies using mixed methods, including self-reports, content and nonverbal coding, and cardiovascular measures.
I study intergroup processes from the dominant as well as the subordinate group perspective, in addition to studying intergroup interactions. In developing reseach, I focus on those aspects of intergroup relations that can help inform the development of effective interventions or policy promoting more positive intergroup relations and mitigate disparities, as well as contribute to theory.
